A rustic, antique tractor is the perfect complement to your home, farm or business' exterior decor! Dating far back to the early 1800s, the first tractors were steam powered and devised to help carry farming equipment. Tractors later evolved in 1892 with the invention of the first gasoline powered tractor, built by engineer John Froelich - a Clayton County, Iowa resident. In 1902, the Ivel tractor - created by Dan Alborne - was introduced and became known as the first practical implementation of a commercial tractor.

By the 1910s to 1920s, gasoline-powered tractors were widely used as agricultural implements. Companies including Ford, Massey-Ferguson, Deere and Company, International Harvester, Allis-Chalmers and numerous others became synonymous with farm tractors, and have contributed greatly to their ongoing progression and improvements, from the tractors' earliest inceptions.
